Ronald "Ronnie" H. Moore

July 12, 1948 ~ December 1, 2017 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Ronald “Ronnie” H. Moore 69 of Worthington, WV, passed away December 1, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  He was born July 12, 1948 in Elkins, WV the son of the late Earl and Genevieve (Smith) Moore.

Ronnie was the owner or R.M Foundry in Worthington, WV for over 20 years and later worked for Tri-County Water in Shinnston, WV.

Ronnie was known to the family as “Pappy” and his siblings as “Muggs”.  All that knew him knew that you had a standing invitation to his home for Sunday dinner and without a doubt, you would have fresh baked rolls with your meal. He would have special Birthday cake baked especially for you on the Sunday closest to your Birthday. He would spend November and December making delicious candies and baked goods. He would see that these goodies were delivered to family, friends and doctors. He was like the glue that helped the family together. He sometimes was the person behind the curtain that made everything special. He enjoyed his shopping trips to Sam’s Club with his good friend Charlie Smith. Great-grandson Roric once said on the door step of Pappy’s house. “They will be happy to see me here.” This held true for all of us that came. We knew that he was happy that we had come.

In addition to his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by: two infant sons, Mathew and Jacob, his brothers Marvin Moore and Steve Moore, and grandson -in-law Kenneth Dotson.

Those left behind to cherish is memory are: His loving wife of 49 years Marian (Corley) Moore, three children, Michelle and husband Rickie Carothers, Maggie and husband Timmy Ketchem and Roy Moore and fiancée Michelle Ford, his sister Phyllis Westfall and two brothers Dick Moore and wife Paulette, and Lonnie Moore,  nine grandchildren: Rachel Dotson and fiancé Chris Redelman, Ondrea and husband Niles Timmermann, Andrew Jones and fiancée Carrie Stancil, Victoria and husband Nicholas George, Justin Ketchem and wife Brittney, Casey Ketchem, Zakary Moore and fiancée Corynne Peroni, Jessica Moore and fiancé Foster Bates, six great-grandchildren: Izabella Jones, Andrea Jones, Leland George, Macale Richards, Roric Ketchem, and Paxton Ketchem.  He was a “foster” Pappy to many including Kylie, Makenna, Rosella and Lincoln, and several nephews and nieces.

Per Ronnie’s wishes, cremation services will be provided and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
