Shirley Ann Brown, 88, of Worthington, sadly passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 17, 1936 in Carolina, one of eleven children, to the late William and Mamie (Palmer) Darway.
Shirley loved to play bingo and spending time with friends. She was a member of the Moose, VFW post #629 and Worthington Bingo Club. Her great grandchildren who were her pride and joy, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her two daughters: Glenna Henderson of Worthington and Dee Ella Wallace of Clarksburg; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Casey) Toler of Worthington, Ian Rogers of Worthington, Kayla (Camron) Davis of Farmington, Talan Wallace and girlfriend Felicia of Clarksburg and Lexa Wallace of NC; six great grandchildren: Addison, Ashton and Isabella Toler, Kholton and Jaylynn Stemple and Bransen Davis; two sisters: Bertie Candid of Fairmont and Pauline Monell of Fairmont; one brother, Paul Darway of MI as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her pet dog Brownie “Odie,” giving him his special treat of peanut butter candy; siblings and their spouses: Frank Darway, Charles and Katy Darway, James and Ona Darway, Jack and Nancy Darway, Bob and Rhoda Darway, George and Janet Darway, Betty (Darway) and John Sedera; one brother in law, Joe Candid; one nephew, Mike Monell, one granddaughter, Sarah Rogers; former spouse, Bob Brown and friend, Glenn Henderson.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm with Special Memories at 6:00pm with her nephew, Gary Sedera as speaker.
