Sarah Kathaleen (Leasure) McIntire

Sarah Kathaleen McIntire, 67, of Shinnston, passed away on August 23, 2022 at United Hospital Center.  She was born in Fairmont on August 12, 1955 to the late Eugene Leasure and Adalene (Satterfield) Leasure.

She had worked as a clerk, loved to bake and crochet and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Sarah is survived by her two sons:  Franklin Jackson and wife Dottie of Enterprise and Eugene Jackson and life partner Kelly Hensley of Shinnston; three granddaughters:  Sarrica Layman, Katelynn Hayes and Brittney Jackson; one grandson, Kasey Jackson; two step-granddaughters:  Jessica Espinosa and Summer Mendez; one step-grandson, Geoff Peele; 24 great grandchildren; one brother, Aaron “Butch” Leasure and wife Katherine of KS and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David McIntire; one daughter, Penny Hayes; one brother, William Leasure and one sister, Shirley Beeles.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, time of service, with Aaron “Butch” Leasure officiating. Honoring her request, she will be cremated. Inurnment at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 2:30pm with Aaron “Butch” Leasure officiating.
