Ruby May Fluharty

Ruby May Fluharty, age 93 of Wallace, West Virginia passed away on November 07, 2018 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center of Clarksburg, WV.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Roney and Lela Blanche Bennett of Wallace, WV.

She was the wife of Charles Jones Fluharty who is deceased after 52 years of marriage and the mother of eleven children.  She was the grandmother of 23, great-grandmother of 32 and great great-grandmother of 10. Ruby was a life-long member of Esler Chapel Church. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by her son Thomas Fluharty & his daughter, Christina; three daughters, Connie Jean Fluharty, Joan Fluharty and Debbie Baker; two grandsons, Scott Lawlor and Roger Dale Fluharty, Jr.

Those left behind to cherish Ruby’s memory include her two sons Roger Dale Fluharty & wife, Charlotte and Charles Michael Fluharty & wife, Lucy, all of Wallace, WV; five daughters, Barbara Duke & husband, Allen of Houston, TX, Linda Lawlor & husband, Michael of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rebecca Hengemihle of Shadyside, MD, Martha Isner of Fairmont, WV and Jenny Graham & husband, Jim of Shadyside, MD; one daughter-in-law, Suzanne Fluharty and one son-in-law, Wayman Baker, Jr.

 The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and again on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00pm with Pastor Martha Holbert officiating. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery, Big Elk Road, Wallace, WV.  Dorsey Funeral Home is honored to assist the Fluharty Family at this time.
