Rosetta Mae (Crites) Moore

Rosetta Mae Moore 90 of Shinnston passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the home of her son Jeffery Moore and his wife Sandy with whom she made her home. Rosetta was born May 29, 1930 in Sutton, WV the daughter of the late Claude Crites and Orpha Davis Crites.

In addition to her parents Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Moore whom she married on February 3, 1947, two brothers Herbert Barnett, James Crites, two sisters Ellen Carpenter and Ruth McGinnis.

Rosetta is survived by three daughters: Rita Scott of Shinnston and her companion Bob Thomas,  Deborah Starkey husband Brad of Owings, Patty Byrd husband Ron of Shinnston, two sons Ronald W. Moore wife Jackie of Fairview, Jeffery C. Moore wife Sandy of Virginia, one brother Theodore “Bus” Crites of Clarksburg, four grandsons Del Moore, Robbie Scott, Jeffrey Moore, Shane Moore, eight granddaughters Tina Richards, Cheryl Wheeler, Kelly Briggs, Robin  Lamb, Lorri Pitchford, Kristy Parrish, Shannon Hannigan Carrie Mansino, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren nieces, nephews and her pet dog “Puppy”.

Rosetta was a homemaker an avid gardener loved to read and loved her dogs. She was a member of the Womens Club and Garden Club of Shinnston and she also volunteered at Lowe Public Library for many years. A special thank you to Sandy Moore her daughter in law whom was her constant care giver.

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street, Shinnston, Monday, June 29, 2020 from 2 PM-8 PM with proper distancing and face mask required.  Funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11AM with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
