Rose Marie (Beverly) Ballard

Rose Marie (Beverly) Ferguson Ballard, 80, of Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at United Hospital Center. She was born in Sardis on October 6, 1941 to the late Effie Ileen Beverly Wamsley Flannigan.

Rose worked at Emeritus as an LPN, Olan Mills and Rose’s Fast Food in Salem.  She enjoyed getting on Facebook and cooking.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by two brothers:  Charlie Wayne Beverly and John Wamsley; one sister, Diana Kay Pyles; her first husband, Kenneth Ferguson; her second husband, Roger Ballard; her stepfather, David Lee Wamsley and grandparents:  James Edison Beverly and Effie Cunningham Beverly.

Rose is survived by five sons:  Kenneth Ferguson, Larry Ferguson and Roger Ballard all of Clarksburg, David Ferguson and wife Kim of DE and Mark Ferguson of NC; five granddaughters:  Summer, Brianna, Katelyn, Lisa and Kayla; three grandsons:  David Jr., Zachary and Grant; two great grandsons:  Scotty and Cody; and one great granddaughter, Julia;  four sisters Debra Turner and husband Jim of VA, Joy King of VA, Eileen Stair and husband Don of AR and Eva Loeffelbein and husband Alfred of SC; one brother, Ivan Wamsley, Sr. and wife Barbara of Clarksburg, WV and stepfather, James Flanigan of Sardis, WV.

In keeping with Rose’s wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial gathering will be planned at the family’s convenience.
