Rita Jean Johnson

Rita Jean Thorne Johnson, 69, of Craigsville, WV, passed away Wednesday June 12, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Enterprise WV on December 22, 1943, the daughter of the late Forrest and Eathel Harris Thorne. She is survived by her husband Pastor James G. "Whitey" Johnson; two sons Ricky Allen Johnson and wife Gayle of Greenville SC and Roy Lynn Johnson and wife Barbara of Buckhannon WV; one daughter Tammy Kay Wilt and husband Steve of Crittenden KY; two sisters Sharon Heflin and husband Billy of Worthington WV; Ruth Ann West of SC; one brother Richard Davis of Virginia Beach VA; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Craigsville. Family and friends will be received at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston on Friday June 14, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 15, 2013 with Pastor Ed McDaniels officiating.
