Nancy (Shears) Keller

Nancy (Shears) Keller, 65, of Fairmont, WV passed from this life and went to be with her Heavenly father surrounded by her loving family at home on July 6, 2021.  She suffered many complications following a surgical procedure in February 2021.

Born February 6, 1956, the daughter of Deloris Shears and the late Clyde Shears, Jr.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Gary Keller and son Steve Keller of Bridgeport, WV.  She is also survived by her mother, Deloris Shears of Lynchburg, VA, sisters: Kathy Harder of Lynchburg, VA, Connie Shreves of Fairmont, WV, brothers; Randy Shears of Midway, PA, Bruce Shears of Clarksburg, WV and Brian & wife Stephanie of Fairmont, WV.  She also has many nieces and nephews that loved their Aunt Nancy.  Surviving also is a special Aunt and Uncle, Linda and John Weaver of Shinnston, WV.

Nancy graduated from East Fairmont High School and Fairmont State University.  She retired from Pierpont Community and Technical College, as an administrative assistant, with over 20 years of service.  Over the many years her coworkers became lifelong friends.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, where she was always the life of any gatherings.  Nancy loved music and listening to her son, Steve, play the guitar.  She also enjoyed sitting on her back deck watching her “deer’s” as she called them and drinking her ice tea.

Nancy will always be remembered for her sense of humor and the ability to make everyone around her laugh.  She will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, WV, on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 4-8pm.  Services will be on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11am, with Mark Wotring speaking.

Interment to follow at the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery.
