Monty Gene Fox

Monty Gene Fox, 84, of Lumberport, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Clarksburg Health Care, with his wife by him.  He was born December 5, 1939 in Doddridge County to the late Russell and Gilberta (Davis) Fox.

He attended Doddridge County High School.  Monty worked as a lineman for MonPower for 17 years. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie (Bonnell) Fox; two daughters:  Dianne McWhorter and husband Dave of West Milford and Montica Alonso and husband Gregg of Marshville; one brother, Russell Fox and wife Alexis of Weirton as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Monty is preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Hope; one son, Robb Fox; two brothers:  Rodney Fox and Dick Fox and three sisters:  Gae Marie Chipps, Billey Hill and Rita Mead.

The BIG love of his life was golf!!  He lived for his golf.

A big “Thank You” to Clarksburg Health Care.  A very special bunch of people.  Thanks for taking such good care of Monty.  Sitting on the floor talking with him to keep him from falling and at the desk for keeping an eye on him. 

In keeping with Monty’s wishes, he will be cremated with no public services.
