Michael Lawrence Baker

Michael Lawrence Baker, 45, of Shinnston, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.  He was born in Clarksburg, WV on March 8, 1979 to Rebecca Lynn (Mollohan) Baker and the late Wayman Baker.

He worked for Dupont in Parkersburg as a laborer and Central Supply.  Michael loved to play the guitar and loved the Rolling Stones.  He was passionate about music and passed that down to his son, Mason, who also plays guitar.

Michael is survived by his son, Mason David Baker of Reedsville, OH; two sisters:  Elizabeth Ankrom and husband Tim of Lumberport and Debra Ng of Bridgeport; two brothers:  Lee Price of GA and Wayne Baker of Shinnston; one aunt, Schree Vulvara and husband Virgil of Columbus, OH as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, his is preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Davis; special cousin, Scott Mollohan; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Lenora Baker and maternal grandparents, E.B. Mollohan and Evelyn Terry.

A family gathering will be held at a later date.
