Mary Katherine (Talerico) Spagnuolo

Mary Katherine Spagnuolo, 74, of Shinnston, passed away at United Hospital Center, with her children at her side, on September 23, 2025.  She was born in Clarksburg on June 24, 1951 to the late Frank Anthony Talerico and Victoria (Marra) Talerico.

Mary worked as a legal secretary, VA Travel Administrator and as a receptionist for Dr. Seetha Ginjupalli.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed traveling to her “other” home in Daytona as well as travels to Italy and NYC.  She looked forward to lunch with “the lunch bunch”, walks and time with “Sassy” her companion and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Mary is survived by five children, who worshipped and adored her: Eric “Jason” Belcastro and wife Jaime of Shinnston, Simeon Anthony Spagnuolo and wife Frankie Jo of Vero Beach, FL, Mario Brian Spagnuolo and wife Lora of Bridgeport, Luci Renee Spagnuolo of Daytona Beach, FL and Melissa Ann Spagnuolo-Lupinski and husband Gary of Lake Mary, FL; she also leaves behind her grandchildren:  Breanna Bart Palmer of Jacksonville, FL, Zachary Spagnuolo of Vero Beach, FL, Alec Spagnuolo of Orlando, FL, Mikayla and Olivia Lupinski of Lake Mary, FL, Antonio, Elizabeth and Lucca Spagnuolo of Bridgeport, Anthony Belcastro of Shinnston, Kyler Smallwood of Shinnston and Tyus Smallwood of West Milford and her great grandchildren:  Isabella Gump and Zoey Palmer, Jaxon, Wrenleigh and Paislynn Smallwood, Spencer and Saige Smallwood, Zayden and Kannon Spagnuolo, Simon and Santino Spagnuolo and her most loyal friend in the world, her dog “Sassy.”

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Antonio “Dody” Spagnuolo and one granddaughter, Brittnai Bart.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston on Friday, September 26, 2025 for visitation from 11:00am until Rosary recital at 7:30pm and on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 8:00am until 10:30am. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 601 Pike St., Shinnston with Rev. Deepu Joseph MCBS.  Interment to follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
