Mary Ella (Turpen) Jett, 86, of Meadowbrook, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was born in Goodlett, TX on November 7, 1937 to the late Raymond and Mildred (Hyden) Turpen.
She had worked as a sales clerk for Montgomery Wards.
Mary is survived by three sons: Raymond Jett and companion Veronica Arnett of Meadowbrook, Jeffrey Jett and wife Mary Ann of Jefferson, GA and Marvin Jett and wife Vickie of Roanoke, VA; six grandsons: Travis, Jayden and Daniel Jett and Robert, Nate and A.J. Gentry; two granddaughters: Destiny Jett and Sabrina Sprouse; two great granddaughters: Jenova Sprouse and Chloe Gentry and three great grandsons: Craig, Logan and Bentley Gentry.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Leonard Jett and two sisters: Shirley Moore and Barbara Alford.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 11:00am until time of service, 1:00pm with Pastor Jeffrey Jett and Pastor Thomas Aaron officiating. Interment will follow to Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
