Lucille "Lucy" F. (Hamrick) Parrish

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that on Saturday, October 5, 2019, Lucille “Lucy” F. Parrish, age 69, was called home to be with the Lord.  She passed away peacefully at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.  Lucy was born on July 10, 1950 to the late Arden Ledford and Lillian Louise (Riggleman) Hamrick.

Lucy was a beloved wife and sister.  She was a very passionate and dedicated person to her job and everything in her life.  She worked for Long John Silver’s as an Assistant Manager for over 30 years.

Those left behind to cherish Lucy’s memory are her husband, John Michael Parrish; six sisters, Alma Hamrick of Akron, OH, Lou Walters of Warren, OH, Irene Wilson, Ann Hull, Nora Wall also all of Akron, OH and Hazel Carder and her husband, Mark of Clarksburg; two brothers, Ledford Hamrick of Craigsville and Jeff Hamrick and his wife, Libby of Bergoo; two special sisters-in-law, Nancy and Carol; a very special niece, Haylee Bell; two special nephews, Koby Simmons and Adam Bell; her loving cat, Izzy; and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by one brother, Milton Hamrick.

Lucy loved to work in her flower garden and taking care of her yard.  She was a beautiful soul and was dearly loved by her mother-in-law, Ada Parrish.  Lucy always had a soft spot for the elderly and was always helping them in any way she could.  

Per Lucy’s request, cremation services were provided. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
