Linda (Lucas) Jordan

Linda Jordan 75 of Shinnston passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her residence. Linda was born April 16, 1945 at Big Bingamon Road to the late Guy and Lenora Robinson Lucas.

Linda worked as a homemaker as well as attended United Technical Center receiving an LPN degree and worked at Meadowview Manor for some time. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Enterprise United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star of Shinnston.

In addition to her parents Linda is preceded in death by two brothers Dorsey Lucas of Sunbury, OH, Lee Lucas of Eastlake OH, three sisters Betty Goff, Louise Feathers, Wilma Holcomb, all of Shinnston and one infant daughter Diane Lynn Jordan.

Linda is survived by her husband  Gary Jordan whom she married on December 15, 1961, one daughter Susan Conner husband Lee of Shinnston, two sons Gary “Sonny”  Jordan Jr of Shinnston, Randy Jordan wife Amy of Shinnston, two sisters  Janice husband Joe Cecil of Marion, OH, Wanda Shoup of Sewickley, PA, two brothers Don Lucas of Fairview, Larry Lucas of Clarksburg, thirteen Grandchildren Justin Mayle wife Stephanie, Lucas Mayle and Brittany Ash, Dylan Mayle wife Kourtni, Brooke Jordan, Lee Conner wife Kara, Casey Conner and Shanna Akers, Chris Barnes, Cody Barnes, and Gage Barnes, six great grandchildren Hayden Mayle, Kayson Mayle, Rylan Mayle, Iyla Mayle, Issac Conner and Payton Conner.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Joel Yednock, Dr. Salmon Osman, Tessa Yost and all the wonderful hospice nurses.

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street, Shinnston, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 4 PM - 8PM with proper distancing and face mask required.  Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11 AM with Pastor Brian Plum officiating. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
