Kathleen Robey Leuliette, 92, of Bridgeport, died July 14, 2013, at Heartland Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on September 21, 1920, to the late Lloyd Atha "Ace" Robey and Anna Higgins Robey. On March 19, 1943, she married Charles B. Leuliette, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 5, 1971. She was also preceded in death by seven sisters; Lillian Cooper, Virginia Schulte, Ruth Snyder, Karyl Abella, Betty Matheny, Patricia Morris and Dianna Tillman. She is survived by one son, Charles B. Leuliette, Jr., and his wife Connie of Nutter Fort; one grandson; Eric W. Leuliette and his wife Xochitl Zamora-Thompson, Greenbelt, MD; one great-granddaughter, Yalena Leuliette, Greenbelt; and several nieces and nephews, including Elisa Thompson, Tammy Martin, David Tillman and Melanie Tillman, whom "Aunt Kat" treated as grandchildren. A graduate of Washington Irving High School, she had been employed in secretarial and clerical positions by the WV State Road Commission, the US War Department (as they were known), Dr. Sobisca S. Hall, United Hospital Center and Rish Equipment. She was an avid tennis player, bowler, square dancer, bridge player and golfer and was extremely proud of having been Bridgeport Country Club Women's Champion. She was formerly an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarksburg, to which memorial contributions may be made.
