Judith Louise Blare, 81, of Shinnston, passed away on December 27, 2025 at United Hospital Center. She was born in Washington County, OH on November 16, 1944 to the late Doy Wilford Hamrick and Kathleen Ruby (Gray) Hamrick.
Judith worked for Anchor Hocking as a glass worker. She was a member of the Oriole Nest, The American Legion Post 31 Shinnston and Supreme Officer in The Whole Nation. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking and gardening.
Judith is survived by her companion of over 29 years, Ralph “Dusty” Ward of Shinnston; two sons: Kenneth Lee Mackey and wife Tammy of Shinnston and Matthew Mackey of Enterprise; one brother, James Hamrick of TX as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judith is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Royce Blare; one son, Dennis L. Mackey, one brother, Doy Hamrick, Jr. and one sister, Jeannie Chrislip.
Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 4:00 until time of service, 7:00pm with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating. In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated.
