John Wayne Wilson

John Wayne Wilson, 66, of Meadowbrook, WV, passed away at United Hospital Center on Friday, March 19, 2021. He was born on November 20, 1954 the son of the late Willie and Ruby Cooper Wilson.

John loved to spend time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

John is survived by his ex-wife, Linda Wilson, Point Pleasant, WV; two sons, Jerry Wilson, Meadowbrook and Jamie Wilson and wife Danielle, Shinnston; two grandsons, Alexander and Mason, both of Shinnston; one granddaughter, Elayna Wilson; four sisters, Carolyn Ray and Gladys Walston, both of Amidy, AK, Dorothy Provence, TX, Shirley Young, Nashville, AK; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Wilson.

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street, Shinnston, WV 26431, on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Delores White officiating.
