John David Pigott, Jr.

John David Pigott, Jr., 52, of Shinnston passed away at United Hospital Center on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.  He was born on October 15, 1968 the son of John David Sr. and Emily Pigott.

John served in the US Army. He then went on to work for Jimmy’s Diner in Shinnston for 30 years. 

In addition to his parents, John is survived by his life partner, Brian Lucas of Shinnston.  Four sisters: Donna Clifton and husband Jim of Tulsa, OK, Kim Howe and husband Melvin of Lumberport, Tammy Tucker and husband Jimmy of Shinnston, and Melissa Luchuck of Wallace.  Two nieces: Megan Martin and husband Dale of Shinnston and Samantha Luchuck of Wallace.  Four nephews:  Sean Vincent of Norfolk, VA, Cody Luchuck and Amanda Dulaney of Wallace, Zachary Howe and Briana Wilkinson of Lumberport, and Ervin Luchuck, Jr. of Wallace.  A great nephew, Easton Howe of Lumberport.  As well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

John was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents Charles Alfred Pigott and Mary Virginia Wable, maternal grandmother Rachel Price, aunt Rebecca Pigott Taylor and brother-in-law Ervin Luchuck Sr. 

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street, Shinnston, WV 26431, on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2:00pm – 7:00pm.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00am with Pastor Cindy Boggs officiating.  Internment will follow at the Enterprise I.O.O.F.
