John Rudolph Chrastina

John Rudolph Chrastina, 87, of Shinnston, passed away on July 8, 2022 at the Behavioral Health Pavilion in Mercer County.  He was born in Enterprise on October 31, 1934 to the late John and Bernice McDaniel Chrastina.

He was retired from the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers:  Kent Chrastina, William “Bill” Chrastina, Roger Chrastina, David Chrastina, Larry Chrastina and James Chrastina; one sister; Bernice S. Davis and one sister in law, Janice Chrastina.

John is survived by two daughters:  Jody Gandy of Gilbert, AZ and Kimberly Gambino of Troy, MT; two granddaughters:  Jennifer Novick and husband Clay of Gilbert, AZ and Julena Gandy of Cedaredge, CO; two grandsons:  Travis Gambino and wife Jennifer and Andrew Gambino, all of CA; two great granddaughters:  Nautika Larson of Cedaredge, CO and Zoe Gambino of CA; one great grandson, Duke Gambino of CA; one brother, Leonard P. Chrastina of Dallas, TX; four sisters:  Arlene Durbin of Dallas, TX, Carol Heldreth of Shinnston, Barbara Fidellow and husband Edward of El Salvador, South America and Betty Gibson and husband Robert of WA and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00am at the Enterprise I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Military Honors will be provided by the US Air Force and Harrison County Honor Guard.
