James "Jim" Fenton Obituary

James “Jim” Reed Fenton, 71, of Wallace, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at United Hospital Center. He was born February 15, 1951 in Clarksburg to the late Denzil “Penny” Reed Fenton and Betty Lucille (Hayhurst) Fenton.

Jim retired from Union Carbide. He loved hunting, fishing, fixing things, telling stories and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie Wood.

Jim’s survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy Renay (Hayhurst) Fenton; son, James “Jimmy” Fenton and wife Melody of Wallace; daughter, Mendy Harold and husband Danny of Lumberport; two grandsons: Caleb and Noah Harold; two granddaughters: Ellie and Kenzie Fenton; and niece, Tammy Lipscomb and husband Anthony of Lexington, VA.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, he will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
