James Paul Wiseman

James Paul Wiseman, age 77 of Clarksburg passed away at his home. He was born on January 10, 1936 in Clarksburg, WV a son of the late Paul Layman and Hope Lucille McClung Wiseman. James worked several jobs in lifetime including working as carpenter doing various construction jobs and also as a former police officer for the Philippi Police Department. He belonged to the WV Fraternal Order of Police, VFW, was Baptist by faith, and served his County as a US Marine. He is survived by a daughter; Debbie Richards, of Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren; Larry Richards, Jr. and Eric Richards; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Arch Wiseman, of Clarksburg and Jerry Wiseman, of Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Karen and Sharon Wiseman. Funeral services will be held at a later date and interment will be held at the WV National Cemetery with full military honors.
