James Clifford Cartwright

James Clifford Cartwright Sr, 81 of Arthurdale, WV, formerly of Newburg passed away, Monday, June 3, 2013 at Rosewood Nursing Home with family by his side. He was born October 12, 1931 in Bruceton Mills, WV son of the late Lorenzo Wayne and Mary Belle Caton Cartwright. Clifford's family was one of the first Homesteaders of Arthurdale. He worked for the Local Union #152 Plumber and Pipefitters with over 30 years of service. Clifford loved his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, gardening and his special dog, Sandy. He was a proud life-time member of the Local # 152 Union in Morgantown. Clifford is survived by two sons, James Clifford Cartwright Jr. and companion Sue Bolyard, Birdscreek, Paul Wayne Cartwright and wife Tina, Fairmont; three granddaughters, Sherri Vazquez and husband Jose, Grafton, April Cartwright and companion Thomas J Shahan, Tunnelton and Angel Cartwright Lynskey and husband Adam, Columbus, OH; seven great grandchildren, Andre, Alex, Tyra, Bella, Colton, Peyton and Ashley; three sisters, Geneva Poe, Oklahoma City, OK, Iris Hart and husband Dennis, Masontown and Joyce Howard, Pittsburgh, PA; one brother-in-law, John Nines and wife Sybil, Mentor, OH, several special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Cartwright on April 1, 2013; three sisters, Margaret Lowdermilk, Evelyn Cartwright and Ellen Simeral; three brothers, Irvin Cartwright, Robert Cartwright and Ronnie Cartwright. Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 2-8 pm, and Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 9am until time of service at 1pm with Pastor Robert Anderson and Pastor Carl Trickett officiating.
