Idola May (Miller) Bryant

Idola May Bryant, 86, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at River Oaks Healthcare Center.  She was born on October 18, 1936 in Dayton, OH to the late Frederick Charles Miller and Lucille Molly (Gibson) Miller. 

Idola had worked as a hospice caregiver, Shinnston Industrial Bakery, Go Mart and as a cook for Shinnston Grade School.  She loved to playing bingo and cards.  Idola was very social and loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by two daughters:  Dreama Hansen of Salem and Theresa L. Couture of Salem; five sons:  Carson Bush of Clarksburg, John Bush and wife Teresa of Shinnston, Scott Bush and wife Kimberly of Nashville, TN, Shawn Bryant of Clarksburg and L. T. Bryant and wife Dianna of Shinnston; grandchildren:  Robert, James and Chasity Bush, Jesse and Jared Bush, Daniel Couture, Steven and Richard Marks and Natasha Bryant, Tiffeny Ridley and Madeline Bush as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Idola is preceded in death by one son, Thomas Kibler and three brothers:  Dick Miller, Edmond Miller and Fred Miller.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and the funeral service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Thomas Bell officiating.  Interment will follow at Lumberport Lions Cemetery.
