Howard Gump, 80, of Meadowbrook passed away at United Hospital Center on Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was born December 13, 1940 in Lumberport, the son of the late Jasper Kinsey and Cora Marie Ice Gump.
Howard was a supervisor for the Harrison County State Road for many years. He also worked for the Townhouse East as a desk clerk.
Howard is survived by two sons, Ronald Gump, Meadowbrook, and Duane Gump; one daughter, Paula Kay Long and husband Steve, Morgantown; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step grandsons, DJ and Thomas Singleton; two sisters, Ruby Miller, Shinnston and Violet Evans, New Smyrna Beach, FL; his first wife, Vivian Ruth Gump Lewis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by one son, Mike Gump; two brothers, Richard Gump and Kinsey Gump, Jr.; and one sister, Edna Louise Owens.
