Helen E Cecil

Helen Elizabeth Henderson Cecil, 90 of Morgantown WV, formerly of Wallace WV went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 6, 1922 the daughter of the late Burton C Henderson and Bessie L Morrison Henderson; she was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life of 56 years, Charles G Cecil who passed on April 21, 1999. She is survived by one son James D Cecil and wife Linda of Morgantown WV; two daughters Patricia A Cecil of Fairmont WV and Barbara S. Ash and companion Kenny of Morgantown WV; five grandchildren; Rebecca Myers, Michael Ash and wife Kristy, Jonia Gannon and husband Carl; Kristi Cecil; and Wendy Mayle and husband Shawn; eleven great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; one sister and two brothers; along with several nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers; two great grandchildren. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wallace. Her greatest achievement and lifelong joy was her family, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking for her family, bird watching and reading from her Bible. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wallace, 83 Main Street, Wallace WV 26448. Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike Street, Shinnston Thursday May 30, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and Friday May 31, 2013 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm where serviced will be held at 1:00pm with Pastor Chad Hudson officiating.
