Harry Albert Truax

Harry Albert Truax, Sr., 74, of Salem died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Genesis Salem Center. He was in Ohio County, WV on January 11, 1939, the son of Charles T. Truax, Sr. and Bessie Hall Truax. He was married to Rebecca May Cork Truax and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2008. Surviving are two children, Harry Albert Truax, Jr. and wife Tammy and Sally AnnTruax all of Elk Horn community near Salem, WV; two grandchildren, Joshua Truax and Brittany Hoskinson (Zachary); three great-grandchildren, Briley, Rylan, and Gunner; two brothers, John Truax and Mary Paulette, Indiana, Charles Truax Jr and Kimi, Colorado; sister-in-law, Patricia Traux, West Union; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, William N Traux; one sister, Sheila L Truax.
He graduated from Baylor High School in Texas. He was a plant manager for Judel and Tiffany's Glass with over thirty eight years of service. He loved family outings, historical sites and anything civil war. Family and friends will be received at Greathouse Funeral Home on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 2-8 pm and on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 11 am until time of service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mike Cox officiating.
