Gregory Lynn Harvath, 65, of Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at United Hospital Center. He was born in Clarksburg on March 31, 1957 to the late William Clinton Harvath and the late Mary Lee (Coburn) Harvath.
Gregory was a graduate of Lumberport High School. He had worked as a truck driver for Roman J. Claproods for 20 years, Montgomery Wards, Commercial Hydraulic and Scott LAD. He enjoyed predicting the weather, puzzles, working outside and travelling.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Pearl (Byrd) Harvath; one son, Timothy William Harvath of Clarksburg; five sisters: Karen Main of Wallace, Bobbi Jo Hager and husband Richard of Ozark, AL, Tina Marchiny and husband Gary of Lumberport, Duwan Romage and husband David of Beckley and Shannon Lowe and husband Jeff of Wallace; two brothers: Ricky Harvath of Beckley and Mark Harvath of Lumberport; his loving pets: his Chihuahua, “Millie” and his parakeet, “Bunga” as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gregory is preceded in death by one sister, Kimberly Ann Harvath.
Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and funeral service will be on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Brian Price officiating. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Brown, WV.
