Glen David Griffin, 53, of Mannington, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at United Hospital Center after his long battle with cancer. He was born in Clarksburg on April 18, 1971 to the Clara J. (Jeffries) Griffin and the late Glen T. Griffin.
Glen worked for the FBI as an IT specialist but the job he loved was working on his root and wood business. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, nature and travelling with his wife. He fulfilled a lifelong dream to go salmon fishing in Alaska with his best friends. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren; teaching them everything he could-especially how to fish!
He is survived by his wife, Wendy C. Griffin; one son, Glen Michael Griffin and wife Brenda; two daughters: Emily Hicks and husband Seth and Abby Griffin and boyfriend Wes Carver; one stepdaughter, Amie Nicholson and boyfriend Jason Shiflett; two stepsons: Alex White and girlfriend Elle Castaneda and Chris White; six grandsons: Keenan, Owyn, Nolan, Wyatt, Dean and Levi; four granddaughters: Renlee, Kinsley, Madeline and Rayne and two sisters: Paula Carson and husband Allan and Linda Snodgrass and husband Gary.
In addition to his father, Glen is preceded in death by one sister, Louann Snider.
