Geneva “Genia” (Rosinski) Shaver, 95, of Hutchinson, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Hutchinson on April 21, 1929 to the late Joe Rosinski and Margaret (Rakowski) Rosinski.
In addition to her parents, Genia is preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Eugene Shaver; one sister, Irene Gregory and four brothers: Joe, Stanley, Mitchell and Charles Rosinski.
Genia graduated from Monongah High School then worked for Westinghouse. She loved cooking, baking and gatherings with family and the community. She was a member of Hutchinson Methodist Church.
Genia is survived by three sons and their families: Joseph Shaver and wife Ann of Fairmont; Rick Shaver and wife Debbie of Monumental and their daughter Shasta Shaver and son Gavin Shaver and granddaughter Zella Jones; Todd Allen Shaver and companion Pam of Pleasant Valley and daughter Odessa Carpenter and two grandsons Orion Long and Salem Kellar; one brother in law, James Shaver of Farmington; two sisters in law Carolyn Shaver of Hutchinson and Mitzi Shaver of Monongah.
Friends and family will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 11:00am until time of service, 1:00pm with Pastor Danny Blake officiating. Interment to Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
