Frank Muscar, 97, of Lumberport, WV, passed away on September 12, 2021 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center.
Frank was born May 20, 1924, in Rosebud, WV, the son of the late Salvatore and Mary Costantino Muscar.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Amy Zanetti Muscar and one son, Frankie Muscar. Four brothers: Jake, James, John and Philip Muscar. Four sisters: Rose McCormick, Thelma Guzzi, Teresa Robinson, and Mary Muscar.
Frank grew up in Lumberport and enlisted in the US Army. During World War II, he fought in the Battle of the Bulge with the 526th AIB, and was awarded a Bronze Star medal for bravery. He retired in 1981 from Consolidated Coal in Grant Town. He enjoyed the outdoors, food and desserts, and spending time with friends and family – sharing stories and advice.
He leaves behind one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Victor Prospero. Two grandsons: Trey and Noah Prospero. One granddaughter, Reannah Muscar and fiancé , Beau Holcomb. Two great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends among the staff and residents of Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, WV. Service to follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Gary Reed officiating.
Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the United States Army. Interment will be Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
