Eva J. Howe, 85, of Lumberport, passed away at River Oaks Nursing Home on December 26, 2018. She was born in Clarksburg on November 21, 1933, the daughter of the late William Ray and Arizona (Shrader) Howe.
Eva worked at Westinghouse for 35 years as a Seal Beam Inspector. She liked Westerns and cooking shows. Eva loved being around her family and traveling.
In addition to her parents Eva was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Howe; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Howe and her nephew and niece, Bob and Karen Howe.
Those left behind to cherish Eva’s memory are her sister, R. Joan Akers of Shinnston; one brother, Carroll Howe and his wife, June of Lumberport; four nephews, Randy Howe and his wife, Janie of Haywood, Steve Howe, Melvin Howe and his wife, Kim and Shane Howe and his wife, Tabby all of Lumberport; four nieces, Debbie Akers and her fiancé, Gregg Palmer of Fredericktown PA, Tammy Wentz and her husband, Eric of Morgantown, Melody Maxwell and her husband, Scott of Lumberport and Crystal Thompson and her husband, Eddie of Lumberport; one sister-in-law, Wilma Howe of Lumberport and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 1:00pm-5:00pm and again on Sunday, December 30, 2018, from 12:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm with Pastor Chad Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
