Edward "Glen" Cox, age 75, of E. Main Street, Grafton, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Grafton, June 20, 1938, a son of the late Ira Godfrey Cox and Cora Edith (Bennett) Cox. Mr. Cox was a Korean War veteran having served in the US Army. He was employed at various businesses including Weaver Brothers service station, the former Ozite Corp., and Sterling Fawcett. Glen was a great conversationalist and loved to sit and talk with his friends and family.
Surviving are: one son, Brent "Keith" Cox and wife Ronica, of Pembroke, Georgia; one daughter, Krista and husband Rev. Ed Rogers, of Washington, WV; five grandchildren, Chad Ryan Cox, of N. Las Vegas, NV, Loralei Kraft Cox of Pembroke, GA, Brittany Emerick and husband Alex, of Parkersburg, WV, Ashley Megan Rogers, and Cayce Michelle Rogers, both of Washington, one great grandson, Abel Daved Emerick; six siblings, Max Neil Cox and wife Jean, David Cox and wife Karen, all of Grafton, Mary Litzinger, of Warren, OH, Martha Bragg, James Cox and wife Kathleen, all of Shorewood, IL, and Robert Cox and wife Vickie, of Knoxville, MD; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: three siblings, Luther Cox, Mabel Harris, and Darrell Cox.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Friday from 9 AM until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon, Friday, July 19, 2013, at the funeral home. Rev. Ed Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery.
Full military graveside rites will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post 3081, American Legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WV Chapter 24, and their auxiliaries, and the WV Army National Guard of Camp Dawson.
