Deloris Jean Vance, 91, of Worthington, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Bridgeport HealthCare Center. She was born in Enterprise on September 5, 1931 to the late Harold Fredrick Stillwell and Olga Nina (Coburn) Stillwell.
She had worked as a salesperson for Gee Bee Department Store. She was a member of Eastern Star 103 Chapter and Lazy Daisies. Deloris was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, an avid bowler and loved camping with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wilson Vance; one daughter, Laurann Allen; one brother, Dennis Stillwell; three sisters: Dorothy Stillwell Osborn, Madilene Stillwell Hetrick and Natlea Stillwell Eagle.
Deloris is survived by one son, Howard W. Vance of Worthington; one daughter, Sue Ellen Lanham and husband Bruce of Shinnston; one sister, Judith Cunningham of Worthington; son-in-law, Gary D. Allen of Enterprise; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 2pm until 8pm and funeral service will be on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Bob Tennant officiating. Interment will follow at Enterprise I.O.O.F Cemetery.
