Curtis Lee Sharp, 44, of Shinnston, passed peacefully in the arms of His Lord and Savior on February 18, 2026 at home with his mom and brother at his side. He was born in Clarksburg on December 14, 1981 to Stephaney (Riley) Sharp and the late Roy Sharp.
Curtis was a member of the North Shinnston Church and loved his church family. His greatest joy was NASCAR, Monster Jam and dirt track racing.
Curtis is survived by his mom, Stephaney (Riley) Sharp of Shinnston; one brother, Patrick Riley and his wife, Wendy of Shinnston; two nieces: Myah and Amilya Riley and one nephew, Kaleb Riley of Shinnston; six aunts: Vivian Cramer and husband Ricky of Eustace, TX, Levenna Swiger of Fairmont, Mary Riley of Meadowbrook, Diane Shadd and husband Robert, Judy Garrett of Fairmont and Debbie Hunter of OH; one uncle, Randy Riley of Martinsburg; special friend, Sonya Summers-Singleton of Fairmont; special coach, Jim Hunt and wife Pam of Clarksburg as well as several cousins.
In addition to his dad, Curtis is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dave and Linda Riley; his maternal great grandmother, Nellie Heater and two uncles: George Riley and Jim Swiger.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dorsey Funeral Home to his care fund.
Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, for visitation on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 11:00AM until 8:00PM and on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 11:00AM until time of service, 1:00PM with Pastor Garry Layfield and Pastor Mathew Keith officiating. Interment to Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
