Christy Jane (Stewart) Thompson

Christy Jane Thompson, 50, of Lumberport, passed away on April 8, 2026 at Maplewood Healthcare Center.  She was born in Gassaway on August 20, 1975 to Lewis Stewart of Gassaway and the late Lola “Cookie” (Westfall) Stewart.

Christy liked to color, work puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.

Christy is survived by her husband, Shawn Thompson of Lumberport; her father, Lewis Stewart of Gassaway; one brother, Brian Scott Stewart of Gassaway; one uncle, Michael Stewart and wife Teresa of FL; one brother in law, Eddie Thompson and wife Crystal of Lumberport; two sisters in law:  Teresa Bush and husband John of Shinnston and Terry McKinney and husband Eric of Lumberport; special friends:  Albert Bailey, Rosemary Starkey and Shirley Hurst, all of Lumberport, as well several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Christy is preceded in death by her grandmother, Wyonett Jarvis and her father in law, James Thompson. 

Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2:00PM at Lumberport Lions Cemetery with Pastor Tom Bell officiating.
