Carolyne Sue (Cottrell) Davis

Carolyne Sue Davis, 76, formerly of Lumberport, passed away on September 22, 2024 at Friendship Manor North in Roanoke, VA.  She was born in Clarksburg on September 29, 1947 to the late Russell Cottrell and Ruth Ellen (Hutson) Cottrell.

She loved to play piano, scrapbook and decorate for Christmas.

Carolyne is survived by three sons:  Stephen L. Davis and wife Ann of Wirtz, VA, Brian L. Davis and wife Tracy of Cove City, NC and Nathan L. Davis of Lumberport; two sisters:  Barbara Hall and husband Eugene of Mannington and Linda Rowley and husband Doug of Wausau, WI; one brother, David Cottrell of Lumberport; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyne is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Davis and one son, Rodney Allen Riffle.

Friends and family will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 9:00am until time of service 11:00am with Pastor Robert Shingleton officiating.

Interment to follow to Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery.
