Bessie Viloa (Eaglen) Ancell

Bessie Viola Ancell (94) of Lumberport, WV passed away on July 5, 2018 at River Oaks Nursing Facility in Clarksburg, WV. Bessie was born on November 2, 1923 in Dellslow, WV, the daughter of the late Charles and Julia Anna (Ball) Eaglen.

On February 3, 1940 Bessie married Rex Clifford Ancell whom passed away in 1998. Bessie was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband and parents Bessie was preceded in death by two sons Ralph and David Ancell, one daughter Glendine Stire, five brothers and two sisters.

Those Bessie leaves behind to cherish her memory are: her three daughters; Delores Ancell of Lumberport , WV, Jacqueline Stout and husband Doug of Richmond, VA, and  Carol  Glover and husband Bill of North Carolina, her son Charles Ancell and wife Ruth of Pontiac, MI, twenty-five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the kind staff at River Oaks Nursing Facility and the Hospice staff for the loving care that they gave to Bessie during her time there.

A graveside service will be held on Monday July 9, 2018 1:00pm at Burnt Meeting House Cemetery in Harmony Grove, WV.
