Annabelle White

Annabelle White, of Bridgeport passed peacefully at Meadowview Manor, on May 21, 2013 in her 92nd year after a brief illness. She was born on April 6, 1921 in Doddridge County; daughter of the late A.W. Adams and Margaret Elizabeth Snider Adams Rice. She is survived by a sister, Mary Margaret Hood of Bridgeport; 5 nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Blount and husband Mario and daughter Megan Blount; David L. Hood and wife Sue and his children Tanya Patterson and Travis Hood; Linda A. Hawkins and son Matthew Hawkins; Jeff George and wife Carrie and children Kevin George and Jason George; Jack George and wife Joyce and children Jeffrey George, John George and Chris George; and brother-in-law, James E. Hawkins of Westerville, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis E. "Pete" White in 1988; one sister, Mabel I Hawkins; one nephew, James E "Buddy" Hawkins; great nephew, David Andrew Hood; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ralph and Laura George. Annabelle graduated from WI High School in 1938 and later graduated from the WV Business College. She enjoyed playing bridge, doing jig saw puzzles and collecting antique glassware. Friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 1:00PM to 6:00PM and Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 9:00AM until time of service at 11:00AM with Pastor Carrie George officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Annabelle's memory.
