Wendy Kay (Drain) Holt

Wendy Kay Holt, age 53, of Shinnston, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, August 5, 2019, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.   She was born December 19, 1965, in Clarksburg, WV the daughter of the late Clyde and Pearl (Stevens) Drain.

In 1984, Wendy graduated from Lincoln High School.  Then on April 16, 1997 she married the love of her life, Clint Holt.  Wendy worked for Shop n’ Save in the Deli and Produce Departments and she was a wonderful mother and homemaker.

Those left behind to cherish Wendy’s memory are her husband, Clint Holt; two daughters, Cheyenne and Sierra Holt; two brothers, Timothy Drain and his wife, Rhonda and Robin Drain and his wife, Donna; one sister, Terri Cawthon and her husband, Marion; one brother-in-law, Guyman Holt, one sister-in-law, Teresa Holt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Some of Wendy’s hobbies included canning and gardening and she loved to travel.

The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street; Shinnston, WV 26431 on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 2:00pm until the time of the service at 6:00pm with Pastor Terry Wilson officiating.  Per Wendy’s request Cremation Services will follow.
