Juanita Jane "Janie" (Mullenax) Stoker

Juanita Jane “Janie” Stoker (83) of Ownings, WV, passed away on November 11, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 25, 1934 in Owings, WV the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Sconish Mullenax.

Janie married Herman Stoker in March of 1960 who preceded her in death in January 1990

Janie worked and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways. She loved gardening, canning, baking, and cooking large family dinners every Sunday morning. She was kind hearted and generous to every person she met.

 In addition to her parents and loving husband she was preceded in death by one brother Billie Lee Mullenax, three sisters Bernice (Mackey) Hestick, Grace Gabriel and Dorothy Watson, and her grandson Joey Nagy.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children: daughters Connie Mullenax Nagy and husband Joe of Shinnston, WV, Cindy Stoker Golden and husband Alan of Fairmont, WV, her son Jamie Stoker and wife Sandy of Enterprise, WV, her grandchildren: Traci Rogers of Shinnston, WV, Ashley Dillon of Enterprise WV, Emily Golden of Fairmont, WV, and Corey Nagy of Shinnston, WV, her great grandchildren:  Joseph Rogers, Autumn Rogers, Anna Rogers, Danielle Rogers, Chelsea Rogers, Isabel Mancino, Remington and Hunter Dillon, her brother-in-law Quentin Gabriel of Stonewood, WV, and  Aunt Mary Sconish of Fairmont, WV and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to extend a very special and loving Thank You to Joe and Pam Scott for all their love and support to Janie for many years, especially during the last few weeks.

 Family will receive friends on Monday November 13, 2017 at Dorsey Funeral Home 701 S. Pike Street, Shinnston, WV, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 11:00am with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery in Shinnston, WV.
