Joyce Ann (Knueve) Watterson

Joyce Ann Watterson, age 69, of Shinnston passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Joyce was born on June 20, 1949 in Lima, OH, the daughter of Norma J. Green of Lima, OH and the late Victor L. Knueve.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She loved nature of all kinds, especially the deer; she loved traveling with her mother in the mountains of WV, KY, and TN. She loved her dogs Jessie and Bell, her cats Cuddles, Mandy, and Shadow, for the comfort and companionship they gave. She also enjoyed word puzzles, living life to the fullest, and enjoyed every moment she was given, she also never knew a stranger.

In addition to her Father, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Bruce L. Watterson.

Those Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory are her two sons; Terry Compston and wife Brenda, of Lima, OH, and Jeffrey Scott Sibert, of Mooresville, NC; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia Hefner and husband Roger, of Lima, OH, and Barbara Oaks, of Hubert, NC.

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Reverend Richard Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
