Joy Lee Hanna (74) of the Big Rock Camp Community passed away on Sunday May 20, 2018 at her residence. Joy was born on June 29, 1943 in Clarksburg, WV the daughter of the late Lee Williams and Birdie Marie Bramer Jones Williams.
Joy worked and retired as a school bus driver for the Harrison County School System.
She was a true country girl and lived her whole life on the family farm where she was raised. She enjoyed caring for her boxer dogs and a variety of other animals on her farm.
In addition to her parents Joy was preceded in death by her four brothers Maynard Williams, Richard Williams, Harold C. Jones, and Clyde B. Jones.
Those left behind to cherish Joy’s memory are: her companion Royal Thomas Pyles, a very special cousin West “Buddy” Williams of Big Rock Camp, WV, sister-in-law Madelyne Williams of Phoenix, NY, and several other cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV. 26431 on Thursday May 24, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm time of service with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating.
Interment will be at the Marshville Cemetery, Salem, WV.
Per the family’s request in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Dorsey Funeral Home in Joy’s name.
