Joanne (McNabb, Lamp) Sharp

Joanne (McNabb) (Lamp) Sharp (78) of Worthington, WV passed away on September 6, 2018 at River Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksburg, WV. Joanne was born September 13, 1939 in Kenvir, KY the daughter of the late Grady and Hazel (Smith) McNabb. 

Joanne worked as a nursing aide at Union Protestant Hospital and as a home health aide for Albert Gallitan. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and spending time with her family. Joanne was Methodist by faith.

In addition to her parents Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Garrett Sharp, her brother Paul McNabb and her sister Mary Woodside.

Those Joanne leaves behind to cherish her memory include three sons; Robert Warren Lamp of Lumberport, WV, David Lee Lamp and wife Susie of Wilsonburg, WV, Garrett Steve Sharp and wife Vickie of Worthington, WV, step-daughter Brenda Stutler and husband Jack of Good Hope, WV, three grandsons; Brian Lamp and wife Kimberly, Jeff Lamp and wife Ashleigh and Chris Sharp, two granddaughters; Taylor Sharp Elza and husband Jacob and Alexis Sharp, one brother Robert McNabb and wife Martha “Penny” of Ravenswood, WV, also several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws.     

 The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 2:00pm-8:00pm Funeral Services will be held in Dorsey Funeral Home on Wednesday September 12, 2018, at 11:00am with Pastor Jonathon Collins officiating. Interment will be at Sharp Family Cemetery, Worthington, WV
