Joan (Sullivan) Robinson

Joan (Sullivan) Robinson, 81 of Lumberport, passed away on April 22, 2019 at the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Joan was born on December 21, 1937, the daughter of the late Edna (Tucker) Sullivan.

Joan was born in Haywood, West Virginia and loved to be outdoors.  She loved to go fishing, camping and playing bean bags.  Joan also loved playing cards and having cookouts with her family.

In addition to her mother, Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Sullivan; two sisters, Shirley Nestor and Nancy Phillips.

Those left behind to cherish Joan’s memory include her husband, Warren T. Robinson; one son, Kevin Robinson and his wife, Charlotte of Mosby Cove, WV; two daughters, Julia Metz and her husband, James of Lake Floyd and Patty Campbell and her husband, Timothy of Bristow, VA; three grandsons, Tyler & Travis Metz and Alex Robinson; two granddaughters, Brooke Metz and Meredith Robinson; one great-grandson, Sawyer Metz; and one sister, Wanda Ashcraft of Bridgeport.

The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 4:00-8:00pm. A Graveside Service will be on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00am at the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery with Pastor Robert Shingleton officiating.
