Jeffrey Alan O'Field

 Jeffrey Alan O’Field passed on to his heavenly Father on January 9, 2019, at his residence in Erie, West Virginia.

 Jeff was born June 22, 1957, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the son of William Roy O’Field and Dolores Jean Caldwell O’Field, both of whom preceded him in death.

 He is survived by his son Jeffrey William O’Field and his daughter Ashley Nicole O’Field and their mother Mona Lisa Romano O’Field of Louisville, Kentucky. He is also survived by his three brothers, William O’Field, Randal O’Field, and Ronald O’Field, of Hepzibah, West Virginia, as well as several cousins and many friends across the country. 

 Jeff was a 1975 graduate of Liberty High School in Clarksburg and a 1979 graduate of Fairmont State College in Fairmont, West Virginia. Jeff used his business degree and innate savvy to launch a rewarding lifetime managerial career. After retiring from Ashland Oil Company, he continued working for oil and gas companies, the combined careers winning him numerous awards over the years for innovations in marketing and efficiency in management.

 Jeff was a member of the Tau Beta Iota fraternity at FSC, a member of Nemesis Shriners of Parkersburg, and a member of the Hermon Lodge # 6 of the Masonic Temple in Clarksburg. As a life-long Christian and church-goer, he most recently attended First Baptist Church in Shinnston. Jeff was an avid sports fan and loved all sports. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and WVU Mountaineers fan, and he was an athlete in school, lettering in both football and basketball.

 The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1-7PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday January 14, 2019 at 12:30PM with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
