Christopher Michael Boggs, 30, of Shinnston, passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 16, 2019. He was born May 15, 1989, in Clarksburg, WV the son of Michelle Boggs and the late Kevin Allen Winkler.
Christopher served in the United States Army where he served one tour in Afghanistan. Chris was injured while in active duty and was honorably discharged. He also was a Mod. 3 Exterior Firefighter for the West Wilmerding Volunteer Fire Department Station 211. He was a kind person who always was willing to help out his community.
Chris worked as a laborer at Pusey Perfection Landscaping and Construction in North Versailles, Pennsylvania. He was often given praise by his boss for his hard work. Chris loved to hunt, fish and ride dirt bikes. He was also a talented tattoo artist. Chris loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his children.
In addition to his father, Chris was preceded in death by, his maternal grandfather, Stanley Boggs; one sister, Kayla Winkler; and his paternal grandparents, Ronnie and Freda Winkler.
Those left behind to cherish Chris’s memory include his mother, Michelle Boggs of Pennsylvania; his wife, Jessika Dawn Bishop-Holt of Clarksburg; one son, Keaton Boggs of Pennsylvania; one daughter, Hailee Boggs of Spring Field, Missouri; one sister, Chasity Wodzinski and her husband, Peter of Lost Creek; one brother, Kevin Winkler of Spelter; maternal grandmother, Judy Boggs of Wyatt; two nephews, Tre and Ayden Wodzinski; one niece, Gracilynn Wodzinski; one uncle, Bo Boggs and his wife, Misty of Shinnston; one aunt, Stacey Runion and her husband, Mike of Mannington; close friends, Cassandra Coats and her son, David; and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike Street; Shinnston, WV 26431, on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 11:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 4:00pm with Pastor Mike Runion officiating. Per Christopher’s request cremation services will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made by using the Funeral Care Fund link found on Chris’s obituary on Dorsey Funeral Home’s webpage.
