It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that on Monday, October 14, 2019, Carolyn Leotta Robinson, age 55, of Lumberport, was called home to be with the Lord. She passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Carolyn was born March 6, 1964, the daughter of Shellis Robinson and the late Eleanor May (Davis) Powell.
Carolyn was a graduate of Bridgeport High School. After graduating she attended the WVU Nursing School. Carolyn then went on to receive an Associate Degree in Accounting from Tennessee State University. She was an Insurance Agent with various companies, including State Farm for many years. More recently Carolyn worked as a clerk with the Lumberport Post Office.
Those left behind to cherish Carolyn’s memory are her father, Shellis Robinson and his wife, Patricia of Lumberport; two sons, William Harper of Nashville, TN and Matthew Harper of Los Angeles, CA; four brothers, Terry Robinson and his wife, Barbara of Mayflower, AR, Steve Robinson and his wife, Anita of Lumberport, Dann Hardman of Morgantown and Patrick Robinson of Bridgeport; three sisters, Sharon Pernell and her husband, Jerry of Bridgeport, Catherine Morgan and her husband, Don of Lumberport and Susan Ott and her husband, Jeff of Pineville.
Carolyn loved photography. She was taking photographs and recording memories every time the opportunity was there. Carolyn also liked antiques and depression glass. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.
Per Carolyn’s request, cremation services were provided. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date on her family farm.
