Beatrice "Dolly" (Sirianni) Marple

Beatrice “Dolly” Sirianni Marple (83) went to be with her Lord on Feb 15, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born January 2, 1935 in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of the late Floyd and Ida (Williams) Harding.

She was a soft spoken sweet lady who loved the Lord and her family. “Dolly” as she was so well known, accomplished a lot in her lifetime. She graduated from Victory High School in 1952 and married Anthony P. Sirianni Sr. on April 4th of the same year.  After Anthony’s passing on April 14, 1984, Dolly married Delbert “John” Marple on February 14, 1989. John passed away in July of 2000.

She played in the Salvation Army Band in the 1950’s. She was an awesome seamstress working for many years for Maidenform and the Clarksburg Casket Company. For several years she operated Sirianni’s Upholstery with her son John. In her late 40’s, she attended the Clarksburg Beauty Academy and became a beautician. Dolly enjoyed playing Christian music on her piano and organ. Over the years, she became fond of her dogs Shadow, Casey and most recently Mikala. She loved living out in the country and being surrounded by nature. She attended the Upper Room Church in Clarksburg, WV before she became ill.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Dolly was preceded in death by her daughter Cherlyn R. Sirianni Bell Rinehart (August, 2011), two sisters Edna Merle Carter and Nancy Snider.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her three sons: Anthony P. Sirianni Jr. and wife Donna of Fairmont, WV, John J. Sirianni and wife Phyllis of Nutter Fort, WV, and Samuel M. Sirianni of Lumberport, WV with whom she made her home. Two grandsons Vincent Sirianni and Larry Adam Bell, two step-grandchildren Shane M. Wolford and Jessica F. Dean , six step-great-grandchildren and several cousins, nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beulah Land Personal Care Home for the great care given to Dolly over the recent years.

The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Sunday, February 18, 2018, from 4:00pm-8:00pm Funeral Services will be held in Dorsey Funeral Home on Monday February 19, 2018, at 11:00am with Reverend Mike Flanary officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Clarksburg WV.
