Annabel Ruth (Boring) Loar

Annabel Ruth Loar of Haywood, WV passed away on April 18, 2018 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.  She was born March 14, 1925 in Fleming, Letcher County KY, the daughter of the late J.E. “Ed”  and Lela Ruth (Nash) Boring.

Annabel graduated in 1944 from Lumberport High School. She was a member of the Lambert’s Run United Methodist Church, the former Haywood United Methodist Church, the Green Hills CEO Club of Lumberport, WV, and the Senior Citizens Club of Lumberport, WV.  She was a Voting Poll Worker in the election booth for several years and was a supporter of the Democratic Party and had voted in every election since 1946.   

In addition to her parents Annabel was preceded in death by; her husband Warren Glen Loar, her son Charles Edward Loar, two brothers: Joseph “Buck” Boring and Charles “Pete” Boring, granddaughter Kristi Lyn Faulkiner, and two special cousins: Elnora McGuire and Paul Boring.  

Those left behind to cherish Annabel’s memory include her daughter Pamela Douglas and husband Raymon of Sardis, WV, her son Warren D. Loar and wife Mary of Haywood, WV, four grandchildren: Jeff Loar and wife Robin of Lumberport, WV, Douglas E. Loar and wife Michelle of Haywood, WV, Valerie N. Clausson and husband Dave of Clarksburg, WV and Erin E. Loar of Lumberport, WV, seven great-grandchildren Steven M. Loar and wife Yvonne of Clarksburg, WV, Jonathon Loar,  William “Trace” Uldrich, Noah Uldrich, Kaitlyn Loar, Kristi Uldrich all of Lumberport, WV and Hannah Loar of Haywood, WV, two great-great-grandchildren Claire Loar and Isabel Loar, special cousin Sharyn Smith of OH, daughter-in-law Irene Loar of Lumberport, WV, and several nephews and nieces.

 The family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV 26431, on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Dorsey Funeral Home on Monday April 23, at 11:00am with Pastor Duane R. Bartrug officiating. Interment will be at Enterprise I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Enterprise, WV.
