Vickie Michelle Bragg

Vickie Michelle Bragg, 66, of Shinnston, passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2020, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born September 6, 1953, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Maxine (Kerns) Lewis and the late Kenneth Lewis.

Those left behind to cherish Vickie’s memory besides her mother, Maxine, is the love of her life of more than 40 magical years, Timothy Michael Bragg; her four children, Jackie Gaines and her husband, Calvin, of Good Hope, Rusty Moore and his wife, Becky of Pennsylvania, Alice Flanigan and her husband, Michael, of Clarksburg and Michael Edward Bragg, who preceded her in death in August of 2017; thirteen grandchildren, Nathanial, Megan, Brandon, Trevor, Brittney, Madison, Aaron, Bella, Leelen, Patrick, Trent, Derek and Kiera; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin Eugene Lewis of North Carolina and Mark Payton, who preceded her in death in May of 2017; and she also left behind several nieces, nephews and cousins.

After graduating high school, Vickie became a CNA.  She cared for many people throughout her lifetime.  Vickie was an excellent caretaker and devoted her life to care for others.  Vickie was a Baptist by Faith and her devotion and faith in God remained strong throughout her battle with cancer.

Vickie was also very creative.  She often made clothes, blankets, dolls and several other things for her family.  Vickie loved to travel with her beloved husband, Tim.  They had many adventures together including several cruises and traveling to Australia, Hawaii, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.  Vickie was the most amazing daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and all that knew her will miss her dearly.

Even in death, Vickie continues to take care of others by donating herself to the Human Gift Registry.  Family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life Service for Vickie on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Bible Baptist Fellowship Church, 6287 Shinnston Pike, Gyspy, WV 26361 starting at 3:00pm until the time of service at 4:00pm with Dr. George Heitman, Pastor, officiating.
